Chinese Medicine
A range of traditional therapies that work alongside acupuncture, or on their own, to release tension, encourage circulation, restore balance in the body and support your treatment.
What It Is
Chinese medicine is far more than acupuncture alone. It encompasses a range of traditional modalities including cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, electro-stimulation, and more. Each of these modalities have been used over centuries to move qi and blood, release tension and stagnation, warm the meridians, and support the body's own capacity to heal. Used together, and in conjunction with acupuncture, they let us approach areas of concern from several angles at once, making your care more complete and more personal.
During your visit, these modalities are chosen based on what your body needs that day and woven into your treatment when clinically indicated, at no additional cost. Cupping is also offered on its own as a standalone treatment.
For anyone who'd like something beyond what's clinically indicated, whether for relaxation, a little glow, or simply the experience of it, we also offer a selection of elective add-on services.
Modalities
E-Stimulation
Stimulates specific points more deeply by connecting a gentle electrical current to the needles.
Moxibustion
Or “moxa” for short, warm points and meridians by burning mugwort near different areas of the body, acting as a form of heat therapy.
Gua Sha
A gentle scraping technique that uses gentle pressure and friction to release tension and stagnation in the body, encouraging blood and qi to flow freely.
Cupping Therapy
Uses glass cups with heat or suction to relieve muscle tension and improve circulation, warming the meridians so qi and blood can move freely.
Nutritional + Herbal Consults
Personalized food and herbal recommendations tailored to your body’s needs, supporting your body from the inside out using Chinese medicine principles.
Ear Seeds
Tiny seeds placed on points of the outer ear to gently stimulate them between visits, extending the benefits of your treatment at home.

A Note on Add-Ons
Add-on services are performed at the discretion of your practitioner. Because your care comes first, an add-on may be adjusted or set aside if it isn't well-suited to your treatment that day or to your individual health needs. In that case, the add-on simply won't be performed, and you won't be charged for it.
